Vibe I Want for the Miami Apartment
If you follow me on IG or YouTube, you already know that Matt and I moved to Miami and I have to say, we’re absolutely loving our decision to move down here permanently. That being said, I’m excited to redecorate our new apartment because some of our New York furniture doesn’t fit… so today I’m sharing the vibe I’m going for and what I want for it.
Luckily, our old bedroom furniture fits in the new apartment so we’ll be keeping the same vibe as our New York apartment. I really like how minimal and sleek our bedroom is… I mean the view is the focal point of the entire room so why compete with it?
One of my favorite things about this apartment is the huge balcony. I cannot wait to furnish it so we can sit outside and just enjoy the view. For now, we’ve been leaving the sliding doors open for that indoor-outdoor living situation, and I honestly can’t complain! So, I really want the outdoor furniture to match the interior and look cohesive.
I’m really going for that Restoration Hardware outdoor retreat vibe. I love anything contemporary with a Mediterranean feel to it… an inviting beach house that’s warm, relaxing and luxurious. Who doesn’t want to feel like they’re at a beach resort or spa?

Since our couch and coffee table are too small for our new living room, I need to pretty much get all new pieces. Like I mentioned, I really want the indoor space to blend with the outdoor, so I’m going for a similar look and feel for the living room as well… very coastal, natural tones, but still sleek and sophisticated. Think Malibu beach house meets mid-century modern - if that makes sense.

I’ll definitely keep you updated as we get new pieces in and figure everything out. Furnishing a new place is SO time consuming and is a process! I really don’t want to rush into anything, but I also want to be able to enjoy our new apartment as much as possible (which includes having furniture to sit on)! Anyway, I’ll link some of my current favorite home decor pieces down below - ones that will certainly be incorporated into the new vibe!
