How to Get My Apartment Vibe for Less

I worked really hard at furnishing our NYC apartment to make it feel chic and elegant. I wanted to create a minimalist, neutral, and airy vibe that felt comfortable and relaxing. I’ve already shared our apartment here but I realize that a lot of the furniture I selected are investment pieces that we plan to have for years. I know not everyone is in investment mode so I thought it’d be fun to share how to get the same vibe for less. I’m including different price points for each room in our apartment so you can shop what’s best for you.

LIVING ROOM

It was a major dream of mine to own the Cloud Couch from Restoration Hardware. I love the soft feel of the fabric and how cozy it is, but I also love this alternative at a more budget-friendly price point. It's a great option for less but still has the same chic vibe. This natural wood coffee table is almost identical to ours and the full-length mirror is super sleek and modern, not to mention, perfect for outfit shots. Our media console is custom made but I found this one that has a similar look and feel.

DINING ROOM

I love the way our dining room turned out. It’s modern with a Scandinavian feel to it. Our dining table is the perfect size for the space and the dining chairs match it perfectly. You can achieve a similar look with this mid-century modern dining table and here’s almost an exact dupe for our light fixture

BEDROOM

If you’re looking for a sleek bed, our linen platform one is from CB2 and this one is pretty affordable. Our nightstands are from Restoration Hardware, but I found a much more affordable option here. I’ve linked a few different lamp options as well here and here. Investing in a good set of sheets is totally worth it IMO, and I found this linen set for such a great price.

DECOR + ACCESSORIES

When it comes to accessorizing my apartment, you know I like a clean, minimalist vibe. I tend to look for organic, modern-looking pieces that will stand the test of time. We have these terra cotta bowls in the kitchen. I’m also crushing over this travertine knot! You can never go wrong with neutral coffee table books or chic candles either.
